In June ’96, in the muggy heat of a kind of studio, a few overexcited young boys moodlessly record a rough and original music. Their names: Julien Lourau, Seb Martel, Vincent Segal, Cyril Atef, Shalom and Eric Löhrer. An alternative gang for Lourau, the project initiator, already famous for his casting feeling.
This in essence ephemeral “dream-team” made fuses blow in a few clubs during the following year, before breaking up under the pressure of individual personalities. Martel’s and Löhrer’s saturated but funky guitars, Shalom’s abstract beats, the efficiency of the Segal-Atef duo (which became Bumcello) and Lourau’s lyrical flights gave a diabolical colour to this bulimic band.
Rapidly sold out, then nowhere to be found, this birth certificate of a highly gifted generation will be released again by Label Bleu.
